A scenic, though challenging ride to Stonington Point, Mystic Seaport (39 miler). The long ride climbs up Lantern Hill Pond (optional foot trail to great view at top of Lantern Hill). Wintechog Hill offers a tough climb, but rewards with a smooth downhill run to the start.
This updated ride gets rid of almost all of riding on Routes 1,2 & 3 previously found on NBW #060
For a truly unique experience, detour to B.F. Clyde’s Cidery to watch the steam powered cider press at 129 North Stonington Road, Mystic, CT. Detour off route at 29.3 miles. Open in the fall only.
