This spectacular ride was designed by long time club member Rob Price, but has only been run once, in July of 2017. The weather that day was beautiful resulting in a large turnout. However, the choice of Dark Green paint for the arrows on a route with lots of turns resulted in many people getting lost. The day was also marred by several crashes and mechanical issues. The ride was then unfairly dismissed from the touring schedule.
Fast forward to 2026 where GPS has now become our primary navigation tool and arrows where used are vibrant and bright. We are bringing this ride back with only small changes to make the start safer thanks to a new High School entrance.
The longer routes will take you onto roads that we rarely if ever ride, with the 70 mile route running through Wompatuck State Park in Hingham. Be sure to stop at the Mount Blue Spring while you are there to refill your water bottles!
